Beetle Stitch

Posted by Merideth Henry on

The Beetle Stitch in needlepoint is a textured filling stitch built with horizontal stitches that gradually increase and then decrease in length, forming a rounded, oval shape. When repeated in rows, it creates a subtle, interlocking pattern that resembles the back of a beetle.

This stitch is especially effective as a focal point. The Beetle Stitch is also very versatile and can be worked in either a horizontal or vertical orientation, depending on the space and design.

**Great option for Large background areas, Sky, water, Large spaces in clothing or bags**
