Mosaic Stitch

Posted by Merideth Henry on

The Mosaic Stitch is a decorative stitch used to create a textured and geometric pattern, similar to tiles in a mosaic. It's made up of alternating diagonal stitches. The mosaic stitch is considered a 2x2 stitch, comprising two Tent Stitches and one Diagonal Stitch over two canvas intersections.

The stitch can be done in rows to create a patterned effect or used individually when filling a square on your canvas. The stitch can also be done in the reverse of the charted pattern.

**Great option for large or small areas, backgrounds, flowers, and clothing**
